Hiking in the Georgia Mountains!
Look at that sun peeking through the fall leaves!
We recently went hiking in the GA mountains. It was such a fun trip! We went with one of the couples in our small group, Paul and Erin. Both couples brought their cameras and we spent time taking different scenery shots. What a wonderful way to spend a fall morning, walking through the woods with good friends enjoying God's creations!
Look at my handsome, hiker hubby!
After our hike we went to Dahlonega for lunch and a visit to a winery where we enjoyed some lovely GA wine and David took this beautiful pictue of a cluster of grapes. I love the colors in this photo and think we will print it out and hang it somewhere. Isn't he so talented?!? Such an eye on that man!
Have you met Tucker?
In case you haven't been formerly introduced, let me take a moment to tell you about the new addition to the Turner Family. Tucker was born on May 31, 2006. He is supposedly going to stay small "8-9 pounds" said the breeder; "15-18 pounds" says our vet... so, we'll see. Lorren picked him out as he was "visiting" Raleigh from his hometown in Ohio. Lorren said he was the sweetest with the most outgoing personality and she was absolutely right! He is a bouncing (and bouncing...and bouncing...and bouncing) baby boy, FULL of energy and VERY smart! He knows "sit", "stay", "lie down", "use your inside voice" (he will promptly bark quietly), "go to bed" (he goes to his crate), and we are currently teaching him to "go to your happy place" (his new dog bed -- we had to distinguish between his crate and his real bed!).
We can't wait for you all to meet him! He has brought so much fun to our lives. Atlanta is a great city to own a dog in. There are many restaurants that allow you to bring your dog with you, into the restaurant, they even have dog-friendly menus! We live within walking distance of Piedmont Park (Atlanta's version of NYC's Central Park) which has a dog park, Tucker is growing to love. The first time we visited the Dog Park a big dog mistook Tucker for a squeeky toy, seriously, he scooped Tucker up and ran off with him! I had to chase them down to get my baby back.
He is a fun little boy and will be spending a week or so in Greenville over Christmas (right mom and dad?). So, if you haven't met him yet, hopefully you will soon!
